Hey! You can order Epitaphs Magazine at www.TheCemeteryClub.com or www.lulu.com. Since you're a photo junkie and love cemeteries, you should submit your work! Check out TheCemeteryClub.com for more info. Welcome!

Profile Information

Why do you "dig" cemeteries?
Cemeteries are both Art and History Museums.
Since I was a child cemeteries have been a place of comfort and exploration for me.
I have had people tell me I should focus on life and not death. I have to laugh when I hear this because I am focusing on life but unfortunatly they just don't get it.
When I explore a cemetery I am feeling alive! I am looking through windows to the past. I am enjoying beautiful architecture and sculpture. I'm learning about an area's history and peoples. I'm outdoors appreciating nature and wildlife. I enjoy the peace and solitude that most of them provide.
I also dig restoration and preservation of cemeteries.
About Me:
Photography is a passionate hobby of mine.
I carry my camera with me everywhere I go. I just feel naked without it.
I take photos of everything in the world around me, but have always had a fondness for cemeteries.
When I'm out and about I always notice or seem to find one, no matter how small, and then I must stop for a look around. I have done this since childhood. First I would walk to nearby cemeteries then once I was a teen and could drive there was no stopping me.
I didn't always have a camera or film in those days.
Thank God for digital cameras! I have been photographing cemeteries for the past 5 years.
I'm able to share with others the visions that were once only in my minds eye!
